When is Star Citizen free to play next? – This is one of the main questions that come up from people interested in getting in to the verse, because spending $70 on a game still in alpha, even with no loading screens and an incredibly detailed universe, is a bit of a tall ask.
But Cloud Imperium Games regularly run free weeks to coincide with major events like Invictus Launch Week and the Intergalactic Aerospace Expo. This year, we’ve got a freefly event a littler earlier than Invictus.

The free fly will likely start around 16:00 UTC on the 9th, you’ll be able to log in to the game with a few different ships available to fly.
