With Star Citizen’s Monday news post ‘This Week in Star Citizen’ CIG announced their intention to run mini events that require no patches. Kicking off on Wednesday 15th January (probably at around 16:00 UTC) with a Commodity Trade Boost Event
Due to recent increases in large-scale capital ship combat and their subsequent destruction, two vendors in the Stanton system have gained access to increased quantities of highly sought-after resources, including Atlasium.
Atlasium is a highly valuable trade commodity in Star Citizen that can be sold for over ¤100,000aUEC per SCU at HDMS-Edmond or HDMS-Oparei on the planet of Hurston in the Stanton System, and for lower prices at Levski in Nyx, Seer’s Canyon or Last Landings in Pyro and then the main landing zone Trade Division terminals for the lowest price, along with the ‘No Questions asked’ terminal in GrimHEX.
While they may be selling it with a suitable markup, these vendors are also interested in purchasing several other resources above traditional market prices, at least until they have what they need.
Dynamic commodities are something that have been asked for in Star Citizen for a long time, and these changes should stimulate those of a more piratical playstyle in Stanton. As currently the only places you can purchase Atlasium are in Pyro at Rustville or Chawla’s Beach, neither of which have a large inventory.
Although we’ll need to hunt out the 2 vendors on Wednesday, I’d expect either Scrap Yards or ‘Derelict’ Settlements to be put to use. I can only imagine the chaos that would be Pickers’ Field if it were chosen. Keep an eye on UEXCorp for update resource information on Wednesday and be sure to read the full TWiSC
